Brisbane Indie Punk/Rock Outfit, Girl With Cake consists of members; Sarah Vardy (guitar, keys and vocals), drummer Ty Noble, Jasmin Fiske (bass, violin and vocals) and Ella Kliendienst (guitar).

The band began playing gigs in 2005 as an all-girl three piece but have gone through many changes to arrive at their current line-up as a four piece. Girl With Cake describe their sound as a mighty mash of indie garage punk rock with many soft/heavy contrasts.

The band have built an excellent reputation locally due to their awesome live performances that are packed with energy and enthusiasm.

The band have a wide array of influences such as Sleater Kinney, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Erase Errata, The Slits, The Distillers, The Knife, Tori Amos, Dresden Dolls, Le Tigre, Nine Inch Nails and many more. In the past five years, the band have released three self-produced EP's, The First Cut (2005), Stick To Your Guns (2006) and Forget Me, Rot (2011) as well as an awesome live album thanks to Triple Z FM which they released locally in 2005 as "Pony Club".

The band have supported an array of well-known acts including The University of Errors, Regurgitator, Operator Please, and Gazoonga Attack.

The band are currently working on a new album. They hope to hit some international shores in 2012 to promote it's release.
